Search & display with FileDirector SBEWhen FileDirector SBE goes looking, you're sure to find what you're after
FileDirector SBE leaves you free to decide how to look for the keywords you are after. You can use the defined index fields to search for information you need, either within an entire filing cabinet or within a given document type. The documents found are listed as hits that can then be sorted and filtered. If you double-click on a document in this list, it is displayed in a window. FileDirector SBE can handle over 200 different document formats as standard. For you, this means that if the software finds your search terms in a variety of different documents, you can display the files directly in FileDirector SBE using a double-click. What’s more, this is possible whether or not you have got the application installed that was used to create the document.
One practical feature is that FileDirector SBE saves the ten most common search entries, so that these can be called up quickly later on.
Full text search: If documents are indexed as full text, the search takes in the full file content. Full text search can be combined with the index search to refine the accuracy of hits. The search result for a full text search shows the results with the most matches to the search criteria listed first
The search list can be used to check out documents for processing, copying, sending as an e-mail or for processes such as issuing invoices or other activities. Naturally, it is also possible to further process documents offline at a local level Document display: Document display via a miniaturised view or in original size offers ultimate flexibility for display. If preferred, display modes can also be combined. From the miniaturised view, it is possible to send pages for printing, mailing, storage or copying. Earlier versions of the document are available under a separate tag. In addition, users can rotate, enlarge or reduce display size, can display several pages or several documents simultaneously, and can also opt for full-screen document display |
